PRAYERS

Provident God,
You who have provided so richly
For the education of these graduates
During their years at Notre Dame,
Uniting them as one family,
Cultivating their minds as well as their hearts,
And fashioning in them the image of Your Son.
We ask that Your abundant blessing be upon them
As You send them forth today.
Anointed by Your Holy Spirit,
May they follow faithfully in the footsteps of Jesus
By loving others as He has loved us.
In the face of all the complexities of our modern world,
Grant them the competency to see and the courage to act.
As they encounter and accept suffering in their own lives,
Grant them the grace to serve generously
Their brothers and sisters who suffer.
Then, together with all people of grace and goodwill,
May they truly be men and women with hope to bring,
Zealous to make You known, loved, and served,
As they work to form communities of Your coming kingdom,
Where, with Mary, Our Mother,
And the holy men and women of all times and places,
They will shine eternally like the stars of the heavens,
And You will be all in all.
We ask this through Christ, Our Lord

Lord God, help us to imitate the virtues of
Blessed Basil Moreau, especially
his trust in Divine Providence,
his confidence in the Cross as our only hope,
and his zeal for making God known, loved, and served.
